Australia – Victoria Skilled Migration Program 2025–26 Now Open!

Exciting news for skilled professionals!

Victoria’s Skilled Migration Program for 2025–26 is officially open, giving skilled workers and international talent the opportunity to live, work, and build a future in Victoria, Australia.

This is an interim allocation—the full allocation will be announced soon. The best update this year? Priority sectors have been removed. That means anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can now apply, regardless of occupation.

Both visa pathways are available:

Subclass 190 Visa – Skilled Nominated (Permanent Residency)
Subclass 491 Visa – Skilled Work Regional (Provisional leading to PR)

At Edurecruit4u, a trusted MARA-registered Consultant, we make the process simpler by assisting with your documents, assessments, and applications.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Who can apply for Victoria’s Skilled Migration Program 2025–26?

Anyone who meets the eligibility requirements for Subclass 190 or 491 visas. Since priority sectors have been removed, all skilled occupations are now open for consideration. Edurecruit4u can assess your profile and confirm your eligibility.

What is the difference between the Subclass 190 and 491 visas?

Subclass 190 – Permanent residency visa, allows you to live and work anywhere in Victoria.
Subclass 491 – Regional provisional visa (5 years), requires you to live and work in regional Victoria. After meeting requirements, you can apply for PR.

Do I need a job offer to apply?

No. A job offer is not mandatory. You mainly need a positive skill assessment, English test results, and an EOI + ROI. With Edurecruit4u’s MARA-backed expertise, your documents will be properly prepared.

What is an ROI?

ROI stands for Registration of Interest. It is a state-level form you submit to tell the Victorian Government you’d like to be nominated. Our Edurecruit4u MARA consultants will guide you on how to submit it correctly.

I submitted an ROI last year. Do I need to submit again?

If your details haven’t changed, your existing ROI is still valid. However, if you’ve updated your skill assessment, English score, or personal details, you must submit a new ROI. Edurecruit4u can update and resubmit for you.

How long will it take to get an invitation?

It varies based on your points, occupation, and Victoria’s quota. This is an interim allocation, so more invitations may be issued once the full allocation is released. Edurecruit4u will keep you updated on the latest announcements.

Can I apply from overseas?

Yes! Both onshore and offshore applicants can apply for Victoria’s nomination. Many of Edurecruit4u’s clients from overseas have successfully received invitations
